According to the report, Blackmon was stopped for a traffic violation when officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the car. After searching the vehicle, the police did in fact find marijuana, which led to Blackmon being taken into custody.
- Blackmon was also issued a citation for the traffic violation.
Blackmon is already suspended indefinitely from the NFL, so if there was any chance of him returning to the league at a later point, this incident may have erased that possibility.
Jacksonville has at least prepared for the possibility that Blackmon won’t be back with them as they used two second-round picks on USC WR Marquise Lee and Penn State WR Allen Robinson this year.
Blackmon appeared in only four games last season, registering 29 catches for 415 yards, with one touchdown.
