Jamaal Charles’ Visit With Seahawks Ends Without Deal, Could Meet With Another Team Next Week

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citingĀ a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that free agent RB Jamaal Charles had a “good visit” with the Seahawks, but didn’t agree to a deal with the team.

According to Florio,Ā Charles could line up another visit with a different team for next week. Although, Florio isn’t sure which team that may be.

This was the first visit for Charles since he became available a few weeks ago.

Charles, 30, was in the final year of hisĀ four-year, $28 million contractĀ that includedĀ $8.3 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $3.75 million for the 2017 season when the Chiefs cut him in a move that freed up $7 million of available cap space.

Charles is coming off of an injury-filled season that required surgeries on both of his knees.

In 2016, Charles appeared in three games and rushed for 40 yards on 12 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 14 yards receiving and a touchdown.
