Adam Schefter reports that free agent RB Jamaal Charles will visit with the Seahawks on Wednesday and into Thursday this week.

The Seahawks are currently meeting with Adrian Peterson and previously brought in Latavius Murray and Eddie Lacy for visits, so they’re clearly taking a good look at the available veteran options right now.

Overall, the running back market has been slow-moving for the most part outside of a few moves today. Previous reports have said that this group of notable veterans could be looking at one-year contracts this year, given that there is a deep running back class entering the league this April.

Charles, 30, was in the final year of his four-year, $28 million contract that included $8.3 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $3.75 million for the 2017 season when the Chiefs cut him in a move that freed up $7 million of available cap space.

Charles is coming off of an injury-filled season that required surgeries on both of his knees.

In 2016, Charles appeared in three games and rushed for 40 yards on 12 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 14 yards receiving and a touchdown.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
