James Harrison Calls Roger Goodell A “Crook”, Willing To Allow Media To Cover NFL Interview Live

Steelers OLB James Harrison said he would have no problem with the media being on hand and covering his interview with the NFL live.

Whatever evidence they think they have, or reason for questioning me, is out of my control,” Harrison said, via Pro Football Talk. “I really don’t know.

“I wouldn’t have a problem with it being filmed live. I’ve been prosecuted and persecuted, you know, publicly in the media by them for something I didn’t do. So I don’t see why we couldn’t have the media there and do a live interview. They can ask whatever questions they want and I can answer them.

“You all can see whatever evidence they say they got.

Harrison also referred to commissioner Roger Goodell as a “crook.”

“If it goes to a conduct detrimental [situation] it goes to the hands of that crook, I mean Roger Goodell, [and] he can do whatever he wants,” Harrison said Thursday night. “That’s just the bargaining agreement that the players signed.

On Thursday, Harrison agreed to interview with the NFL at Steelers’ facility on August 30, but wants the questions limited to topics addressed in report.

The NFL informed NFLPA earlier in the week that Harrison, Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers and free agent OLB Mike Neal would need to cooperate or would be suspended on August 26.

The allegations stem from comments made by former anti-aging clinic intern Charlie Sly, who was taped in the Al-Jazeera documentary. It’s worth mentioning that Sly has since recanted his quotes.

We’ll have more regarding the PED allegations as the news is available.
