James Harrison Says He’s Deciding Between Steelers & Titans

Veteran OLB James Harrison announced via his Instagram account (video) Saturday that he’s deciding between signing with the Steelers or the Titans.

The opinions of my support team are split, but for me, my love for the man who both started, and made my career what it is, is undeniable,” Harrison wrote on Instagram, via Scott Brown of ESPN. “There are no words that I can find that would do justice for everything Dick LeBeau has done for me & my career and nothing can compare to that!

“I also have a great amount of love for Steelers Nation & the Steelers organization. I’m going to pray on this and let God guide me in the right direction.”

There has been talk that Harrison could follow long-time Steelers DC Dick LeBeau to Tennessee given they are in need of help at outside linebacker and he has a great deal of respect for LeBeau.

However, Tennessee re-signed OLB Derrick Morgan and brought in OLB Brian Orakpo in recent weeks, which means he could see more playing time with the Steelers.

Harrison, 36, appeared in 11 games and recorded 45 tackles and 5.5 sacks for the Steelers’ defense this past season.

Despite his advanced age, Pro Football Focus Harrison rated as a very solid run defense and as pass rusher in 2014.

We’ll have more regarding Harrison and where he’ll be playing as the news is available.
