James Starks Will Start At RB For Packers In Week 3

Packers HC Mike McCarthy announced that RB James Starks will get the “starting opportunity this week” against the Bengals.

“Starks is someone I look at as a starter with an ability to run as many times as needed,” McCarthy said, per Jason Wilde. “He’ll get starting opportunity this week.”

Eddie Lacy suffered a concussion last weekend and hasn’t returned to practice yet. Meanwhile, Starts was able to tally 132 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries against Washington.

McCarthy added that Lacy is however making progress, so we’ll have to see if anything changes regarding his status for Week 3 or if they’ll elect to hold him out until after their bye next week.
