According to Janoris Jenkins’ representatives, the reports of a contract dispute with the St Louis Rams are false.
“At no point before, during or after the (draft) was there ever any promise from us to the Rams that Janoris would hire a specific financial advisor,” Jenkins’ rep said, via Scout.com. “Janoris is happy with his situation, happy with his coaches and is ready and focused on preparing for his first NFL training camp.”

Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that the St Louis Rams and second-round pick CB Janoris Jenkins are off to a rocky start because of a verbal pre-draft agreement that’s impermissible, according to terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
“We know there can’t be any pre-conditions to the contract,” a Rams source said last week.
During April’s NFL draft, Jeff Fisher made Jenkins’ agent, Malik Shareef, promise that he would hire a business manager to help Jenkins navigate his personal issues. Fisher wants Lou Taylor of Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group to advise Jenkins, but any such agreement isn’t allowed based on the new CBA.
The two sides will have to resolve this issue before a deal is finalized, but this is not how you would like things to start off when you’re drafting a player with the kinds of concerns that Jenkins has.

I agree that this is a bad start for guy that should be doing everything possible to deflect negative attention, but isn’t it suspicious that Fisher is pushing his contact on him? He could work with anyone, but Fisher what’s it to be his guy. I’m sure he trusts him more than others, but it shouldn’t be a sticking point.
