Jay Cutler To The Redskins?

It’s hard to say that either side of the Jay Cutler trade has won but if you had to choose it would have to be the Broncos.

The Chicago Bears decided to bring in something that they have never had, a star quarterback. During his 22 games with the team, Cutler hasn’t lived up to the expectations that were set for him. David Haugh of the Chicago Tribune has started some trade speculation regarding Jay Cutler and for that we would like to thank him.

Haugh suggests that the Bears could trade Cutler to the Redskins for some much needed draft picks and look to sign Chicago-native Donovan McNabb during the offseason. With the strained relationship in Washington between McNabb and Mike Shanahan, the Redskins will need to find someone to take over the quarterback position and doesn’t appear that that person is Rex Grossman.

Haugh points to “Cutler’s unrelenting immaturity too often undermines his immense talent.  And when he loses focus, he can lose teammates and games.” The interesting thing is that Cutler is still only 27 years old and could be traded twice during his prime.
