Jeremiah Sirles Leaves Panthers Visit Without Deal, Vikings Still In The Mix

According to Chris Tomasson, free agent OL Jeremiah Sirles left his visit with the Panthers without a contract but passed his physical for the team and it’s still possible they could get a deal done.

Tomasson reports that the Vikings are still in the mix for Sirles along with a couple of other teams.

Sirles, 26, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and spent the year on the team’s practice squad.

The Chargers later traded Sirles to the Vikings in return for a 2016 sixth-round pick that eventually became FB Derek Watt. Minnesota brought Sirles back on an exclusive rights contract last year but declined to tender him a contract as a restricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Sirles appeared in 14 games for the Vikings and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 48 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying player
