Jeremy Maclin Hoping To Remain In Philadelphia Beyond 2013

Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin is hoping to remain in Philadelphia beyond the 2013 season.

“This is the team and organization that drafted me. I don’t want to leave,” Maclin said, via Philly Mag“All I can do is go out there and play ball, and I’m going to play to the best of my ability.”

Maclin, 25, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and with a new offensive system being installed, there’s at least some question as to whether or not he’ll be brought back next season.

The initial talks are always whatever, but I think that I can only get better,” Maclin said. “So I think it’ll be good for me to go out there and just play ball and let everything else take care of itself.”

Maclin has flashed some great ability during his first four years in the league, but the Eagles were obviously expecting him to take the next step in his overall development. Last year, Maclin tallied 69 receptions for 857 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns.

We have Maclin listed as the No. 22 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list.
