Jermichael Finley Will Undergo An X-Ray & MRI This Week & Before Talking To Interested Teams

Josina Anderson of ESPN spoke with free agent TE Jermichael Finley on Tuesday regarding his status.

According to Anderson, Finley expects to have an X-ray on his neck taken Thursday, as well as an MRI within the next two weeks.

The scans will then be sent to the Pittsburgh Steelers team neurosurgeon, Dr. Joseph Maroon, who performed his spinal fusion surgery.

Anderson adds that the plan is to then communicate the results with interested teams and see where things go from there.

Finley, 26, represents the best available tight end once he’s cleared to play, but it’s tough to say when or if he’ll receive clearance. There appears to be mutual interest between him and the Seahawks, but Green Bay could also get involved at some point given that they have limited depth at the position.

We have Finley tentatively listed as the No. 2 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
