Jermichael Finley’s Future In Green Bay “Not Looking Good At All”

According to Pro Football Weekly’s sources, Jermichael Finleys future with the Green Bay Packers is “not looking good at all.”

The overall feeling inside the team is that Finley, a 3rd round pick in 2008, has yet to reach his potential and hasn’t lived up to the team’s expectations. They mentioned that Green Bay may end up taking a “wait and see” approach regarding a long-term extension for Finley.

Green Bay signed him to a two-year deal worth $14 million back in March of this year, which more or less afforded him another opportunity to live to his potential. There’s still a lot of games that have yet to be played, so Finely could easily force the team to consider a multi-year extension, but with players like Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, Greg Jennings and B.J. Raji who will still need to be addressed, it’s hard to imagine that the Packers would be willing to break the bank to keep Finley.
