Jets Claim Braylon Edwards Off Of Waivers

The New York Jets have in fact claimed WR Braylon Edwards off of waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.

It will be interesting to see what he thinks of the organization now that they’ve given him another chance to play.

Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that the Jets are expected to sign WR Braylon Edwards assuming he clears waivers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Jets released RB Kahlil Bell today to make room for a receiver that they are planning on signing.

Schefter speculates that former Jets wideout Braylon Edwards could be an option.

Edwards’ name came up recently as a potential option for the receiver-needy Jets, but that was just after he ripped the team and organization. There’s no question that Edwards could offer them an upgrade at this point in time, but that’s not to say that he’s still an impact player in league.
