CBS New York reports that New York Jets C Nick Mangold “likely” suffered a high ankle sprain during yesterday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The reports adds that x-rays came back negative which is a positive sign for him and the Jets offensive line in the coming weeks.
Mangold is a very important component to the Jets offense so losing him could have a serious impact on both their running and passing attacks in the weeks to come but thankfully for them he is confident that he’ll be able to return sooner than later.
“I don’t expect it to be anything too crazy,” said Mangold after being asking about a timetable for his return.
New York will be on the road for their next three games: Oakland, Baltimore and New England.
