Jets CB Darrelle Revis Undergoes Surgery On Wrist, Expected To Be Back For Training Camp

The New York Jets announced Thursday that CB Darrelle Revis underwent a surgical procedure on his right wrist today and will be in a hard cast for 2-3 months.

According to the Jets, Revis will be limited during their offseason program, but he is expected to be fully recovered in time for the start of training camp.

Revis suffered a  a torn ligament in his wrist last year, so it’s not surprising he has a procedure done during the offseason.

Revis, 30, is in the second year of his five-year, $70 million contract that includes $39 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $17 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Revis appeared 14 games and recorded 39 tackles, five interceptions, four fumble recoveries and nine pass defenses for the Jets. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 30 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
