Jets Claim OL Wesley Johnson Off Waivers From The Steelers

The New York Jets announced Monday that they have claimed OL Wesley Johnson off of waivers from the Steelers and placed G Brian Winters on season-ending injured reserve.

Johnson was a fifth-round draft pick of the Steelers a few months. Pittsburgh waived him a few days ago and S Ross Ventrone to their active roster.

Johnson started all 51 games he played in during his career at Vanderbilt. He lined up at numerous positions, although most of his starts came at left tackle. Johnson was named first-team All-SEC last year.
