Report: Jets Sign WR Braylon Edwards

Manish Mehta reports that the Jets have signed WR Braylon Edwards to a one-year deal.

Edwards, 30, has not generated any interest during the offseason, but there has been some speculation about him returning to the Jets.

Santonio Holmes is coming off of a season-ending injury and even with him in the mix, you could make the case that more receiver help is needed. The only question is whether or not Edwards will be able to contribute at an adequate level this season.

Manish Mehta reports that the free agent WR Braylon Edwards in the process of taking a physical with the Jets and are on the verge of signing him.

There’s still a chance that the Jets could pass on Edwards. We’ll have more as the news is available.
