Jets Concerned That Mark Sanchez Has Partial Labrum Tear

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that Jets QB Mark Sanchez could have a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder.

Mortensen noticed Sanchez was passing the ball with his left non-throwing arm. Apparently doctors believe Sanchez might have a partially torn his labrum on his right shoulder when taking that big hit against the Giants in preseason.

It had been rumored that Sanchez originally dislocated his shoulder in said game, only for team doctors to pop it back into it’s socket. A dislocation plus a partially torn labrum would mean Sanchez could be at risk of miss the entire season.

Sanchez is expected to seek a second opinion on the potential labrum tear this week. If the labrum is indeed torn, then it is highly unlikely Sanchez will play this season.
