Yesterday it appeared that LB Aaron Maybin had made the Jets 53-man roster but that was short lived as the team announced that they had waived him along with DT Martin Tevaseu and CB Isaiah Truant.
Maybin’s future in the NFL is certain in question as it’s going to take a near miracle for him to turn things around at this point.
ESPNNewYork’s Rich Cimini reports that the Jets have claimed WR Mardy Gilyard, QB Kevin O’Connell, C Colin Baxter and S Andrew Sendejo.
Rookie quarterback Greg McElroy was placed on season-ending injured reserve which is why the team elected to claim Kevin O’Connell.
