Jets Expected To Sign Mississippi State S Brandon Bryant

Tom Pelissero reports that the Jets are expected to sign Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant after he undrafted on Wednesday.

Bryant was one of three Supplemental prospects who wound up going undrafted. However, it looks like he was a priority signing for the Jets.

Pelissero mentions that Bryant could contribute immediately on special teams for New York.

The Jets were one of 14 teams who attended Bryant’s Pro Day a few weeks ago along with the Rams, Browns, Falcons, Giants, 49ers, Redskins, Colts, Steelers, Saints, Jaguars, Texans, Raiders, and Ravens.

At his Pro Day, Bryant measured in at 5-11/207. He posted 40-yard dash times of 4.45/4.52, a 4.23 Short Shuttle, 7.26/7.52 3-cones, 34-inch vertical, and a 10-3 broad jump.

Bryant recorded 157 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, seven pass defenses and a forced fumble over three seasons at Mississippi State and 37 games played.
