Jets Sign TE Kellen Winslow

Pro Football Talk reports that the Jets have officially signed TE Kellen Winslow to a one-year contract.

Winslow, 29, has reportedly impressed the team during his tryout and the Jets could clearly use some additional help at the position given that Jeff Cumberland is penciled in as their starter.

Manish Mehta reports that the Jets will attempt to sign free agent TE Kellen Winslow following this week’s minicamp.

Mehta adds that this will only happen if Winslow is able to finish his tryout without suffering a setback to his troublesome knees.
