Jets Hosted Veteran DL Frostee Rucker For Visit

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Jets brought in veteran DL Frostee Rucker for a visit on Tuesday.

This is the first reported interest in Rucker since the free agent market officially opened.

Rucker, 34, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2006. He spent five years in Cincinnati before joining the Browns for the 2012 season.

Unfortunately, Cleveland cut Ruckers loose just one year into his five-year contract and he eventually caught on with the Cardinals for the 2013 season. Arizona brought Rucker back on a one-year contract last season.

In 2017, Rucker appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and recorded 29 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 68 interior defender 122 out of qualifying players.
