Jets Hosting RB Thomas Rawls On Thursday

Brian Costello reports that the Jets are bringing in free agent RB Thomas Rawls for a visit on Thursday.

This is the second reported visit for Rawls since free agency opened after he recently met with the Chiefs but wasn’t signed to a contract.

Rawls, 24, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan back in May of last year. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1.59 million rookie contract but was not tendered a restricted offer by the Seahawks.

Rawls is now testing the open market for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Rawls appeared in 12 games for the Seahawks and rushed for 157 yards on 58 carries (2.7 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 94 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
