Steelers LT Kelvin Beachum Visiting Jets & Seahawks

Update:

Ian Rapoport is now reporting that free agent LT Kelvin Beachum has scheduled a visit with the Seahawks for Monday.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jets are bringing in Steelers free agent LT Kelvin Beachum for a visit at some point in the near future.

According to Rapoport, the Steelers are hoping to re-sign Beachum to a contract, but there’s is at least some competition for his services.

Last we heard, Aditi Kinkhabwala reported that the Ravens were “taking a look at” Beachum.

Beachum, 26, played out the final year of his four-year, $2.146 million rookie contract, which includes a base salary of $1.542 million and is now in position to test the open market in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately for Beachum, he was placed on season-ending injured reserve just over a month into the season. The two parties discussed a contract extension before the start of the regular season, but couldn’t reach an agreement.

In 2015, Beachum appeared in all five games for the Steelers.

We have him featured in our Top  2016 Free Agents list.
