Jets head coach Rex Ryan told reporters that Mark Sanchez will remain their starting quarterback for Week 13’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
“Mark will be the starting quarterback this week and we’ll go from there,” said Ryan following Thursday night’s loss to the Patriots.
Sanchez was able to put up 301 passing yards against a suspect secondary, but he also added two turnovers, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
The Jets have maintained that Sanchez gives them the best shot at winning games, despite his obvious struggles. Tim Tebow is dealing with two broken ribs, so it’s not as though he’s being pushed by a legitimate replacement at this point in time.
