Jets Not Interested In RB Kareem Hunt

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets will not pursue signing RB Kareem Hunt to a contract this offseason once he’s removed from the commissioner’s exempt list.

The Jets could clearly use an impact offensive player and they’ve been tossed out as a potential landing spot for Le’Veon Bell. However, Jets GM Mike Maccagnan has said previously that certain player transgressions are simply unacceptable and not something they can overlook.

Mehta points out that the Jets moved RB Joe Mixon from their draft a few years ago after he punched a female student at Oklahoma.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported a few weeks ago that Hunt will likely be back in the NFL and have a job “sooner rather than later.

According to Schefter, multiple teams have expressed interest in Hunt, who has been undergoing anger-management counseling daily after a video surfaced showing him shoving and kicking a woman.

Sources have told Schefter that Hunt appears to be making progress with the counseling, which has led to some teams expressing interest in him.

As of now, Hunt is on the commissioner’s exempt list and a suspension from the league is expected to be handed down before free agency.

Hunt, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.263-million contract and set to make base salaries of $555,000 and $645,000 over the next two years of the agreement when the Chiefs waived him in December.

In 2018, Hunt has appeared in 11 games for the Chiefs and rushed for 824 yards on 181 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 26 receptions for 378 yards receiving and 14 total touchdowns.

We have him featured in our Top 50 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.

  1. The Kareem Hunts, Greg Hardys, Ray Rice’s and any other LOSERS that fall into their personal conduct category deserved to be BANNED from the league. PERIOD!!!!! The only reason Hunt is receiving counseling, is to better his chances of getting back in the NFL. Yet! The Media spins Hunt’s situation like Hunt is the victim. And The Bears, Jets and any of the other 30 remaining teams are making a mistake not signing Hunt to their roster. Maccagnan spoke it RIGHT. Certain players transgressions are UNACCEPTABLE and SHOULD NOT be accepted.
The Bleeding Hearts Liberal Media feels so much for Kareem Hunt. They should invite Hunt to their homes to meet their young daughters. You would see in a heartbeat how fast their attitudes change. Kareem Hunt is a loser coward lowlife bum and any Bleeding Hearts that champion for him, fall under the same label. I still have not heard from the #MeToo Movement defending this young girl. Another fake ass Media hyped George Soros funded waste of time so called organization. They defend whores like Stormy Daniels and try and make society think they Stand Up For Women. Get Real!!!!! And one of their spokeswoman Asia Argento has sex with a male minor, then has the nerve to stand there and clamor for Womens Rights. Get Real!!!!!
The real victims are the girlfriends and wives of these athletes named above. Not some wannabe Hollywood socialite so called actress that ACCEPTED MONEY for their sexual situation and then cry wolf years later. Remember! A woman that accepts money for a sexual act is an always will be a whore. Any woman that says NO, argues with a boyfriend or husband, even if she strikes first DOES NOT DESERVE to be slapped, punched, kicked or beaten to a pulp. That is why police departments exist.

    • We get it. Women are inferior & weak creatures which need to be protected.

Next time use better spacing so people will read more than the first 2 sentences.

      • Maybe it’s the space between your ears, there are 3 paragraphs to my response.
Also! I NEVER stated that women were INFERIOR and WEAK CREATURES. YOU DID!!!!!
You need to STOP making your feelings about women, the words me or someone else stated.
Hey Bouda! This is the second time you took a response of mine down. That’s kind of a democratic approach to free speech.
