Jets Place OT Corey Hilliard On Retired List, Waive Two

The Jets placed veteran OT Corey Hilliard on the reserve/retired list Friday and waived TE Chris Pantale and LB Chris Young, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.

Friday has been a busy day for the Jets’ roster, as they’ve announced eight undrafted free agent signings and 24 players who will be trying out for them this weekend.

Hillard, 30, is a former sixth round pick of the Patriots back in 2007. He has since played for the Colts, Browns and Lions over the course of his six-year NFL career.

The Jets signed him to a one-year contract worth $950,000 back in March.

In 2014, Hillard appeared in just one game for the Lions after he unfortunately suffered a Lisfranc injury that cost him the remainder of the season.
