Jets Place S Jaiquawn Jarrett On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The New York Jets officially placed S Jaiquawn Jarrett on season-ending injured reserve after he cleared waivers on Monday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Jarrett, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2011. He lasted just over a year in Philadelphia before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season. The Jets later signed him to a future/reserve contract at the end of the season.

New York elected to re-sign Jarrett back in April to a restricted contract worth $1.542 million for the 2015 season.

This season, Jarrett has been active for four games, but has yet to record a single statistic for the Jets.
