The New York Jets announced that they’ve signed S Rontez Miles to their active roster and placed OL Jarvis Harrison on waivers.

Miles, 26, originally signed on with the as an undrafted free agent out of California (PA) back in 2013. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s practice squad.
Miles hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season.
Harrison, 23, was taken in the fifth round of this year’s NFL draft. He signed a four-year, $2,499,848 contract that included $219,848 fully guaranteed.
Harrison will make base salaries of $435,000 (2015), $525,000 (2016), $615,000 (2017), and $705,000 (2018).
