Jets RB Khiry Robinson Breaks Leg For Third Time

Jets HC Todd Bowles told reporters on Tuesday (per Rich Cimini) that RB Khiry Robinson broke his leg for the third time this past weekend.

The Jets will likely place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their active roster to finish out the year.

Robinson, 26, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M back in 2013. He managed to make the team’s 53-man roster in all three years with the Saints.

The Jets ultimately signed him to a one-year, $1.175 million contract as a free agent back in March. However, he was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Robinson appeared in one game and ran for 22 yards on eight carries (2.8 YPC) and no touchdowns.
