Jets RB Zac Stacy Out For Season Following Ankle Surgery

Jets RB Zac Stacy sustained a broken ankle during yesterday’s game against the Bills and underwent surgery on Friday, according to Rich Cimini.

Stacy will miss the remainder of the 2015 season following this procedure.

The Jets had been using Stacy as their No. 2 running back behind Chris Ivory while Bilal Powell has been out of the lineup.

Stacy, 24, came over in a trade with the Rams that sent a seventh round pick that ultimately became Bryce Hager to St. Louis.

He is in the third year of his four-year, $2.337 million rookie contract that included a $176,500 signing bonus. Stacy will make base salaries of $585,000 and $675,000 over the remainder of the agreement.

Stacy’s 2015 season comes to an end with him appearing in eight games and rushing for 89 yards on 31 carries (2.9 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 65 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
