Jets Re-Sign K Nick Folk

The Jets have re-signed K Nick Folk to a “multi-year deal” two weeks after applying the franchise tag to him, the team announced, via Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.

  • Cimini notes that the terms remain undisclosed, but that Folk was seeking at least $3 million per year.
  • Had Folk played this season under the franchise tag, he would have earned $3.556 million.

Folk connected on 33 of 36 field goals in 2013, making it the best season of his seven-year career.  Folk spent three seasons with the Cowboys before signing with the Jets in 2010.
