The New York Jets announced Monday that they’ve re-signed veteran LB Bruce Carter and placed OLB Lorenzo Mauldin on injured reserve.
- The Jets also signed DL Patrick Gamble, CB Terrell Sinkfield, OL Geoff Gray, WR JoJo Natson to their practice squad.
Carter, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract before signing a four-year, $17 million contract with the Buccaneers in March of 2015.
The Buccaneers elected to cut him loose in March of last year and he eventually signed a one-year contract with the Jets. New York brought him back this past March only to cut him loose this past weekend.
In 2016, Carter appeared in 13 games for the Jets and recorded 16 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and one pass defense.
