Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Jets are re-signing WR/KR Jeremy Ross to a contract on Thursday.
Ross, 28, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2011. He played briefly for the Colts before joining the Packers in October of 2012.
The Lions would later sign him to a contract and give him an opportunity to their kick returner where Ross showed some ability. However, he was among the team’s final roster cuts before signing on to the Ravens’ practice squad.
Ross eventually signed on with the Raiders and finished out the year in Oakland. However, they didn’t tender him a contract as a restricted free agent.
The Jets signed him in April only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
In 2015, Ross 11 games and totaled nine receptions for 88 yards receiving to go along with 205 kick return yards and 109 punt return yards.
