The New York Jets announced that they released CB Lowell Rose Wednesday.
The move was made to make room for newly signed DE Jason Babin.
Rose originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent in 2013. Â He was released, only to be re-signed and then released again last summer. Â He signed with the Jets as a reserve/future signee in January of this year.
Rose played safety in college at Tulsa, but worked as a cornerback with the 49ers. Â He does have intriguing physical traits, so he could catch on elsewhere fairly soon.
