Mark Sanchez is expected to get a second opinion on his injured shoulder, so there’s really no timetable for his return.
Quinn’s stay in New York is expected to last until Mark Sanchez is healthy enough to return.
There were rumors that the Jets could cut Quinn loose in the past free days, so this doesn’t come as a big shock. Quinn’s release figures to be temporary, so he will more than likely be part of the Jets roster this season. Quinn’s outlook this season will be that of third-string quarterback behind Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez
