Jets Sign CB Curtis Brown

The New York Jets announced Tuesday that they have signed CB Curtis Brown to a contract.

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reported last week that Browns was working out for the Jets on Tuesday.

Brown, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent three years with the team before he was waived with a failed physical designation back in March of last year.

However, Brown found no reported interest as an unrestricted free agent and wound up sitting out the entire 2014 season.

In 2013, Brown appeared in seven games for the Steelers and recorded seven tackles before he sustained a torn ACL, which led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve.
