Jets Sign CB Phillip Adams, Cut Sixth-Round Pick WR Quincy Enunwa

The New York Jets announced the signing of CB Phillip Adams on Monday.

  • To make room for Adams, the Jets waived sixth-round pick WR Quincy Enunwa.

Adams, 25, was drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He has spent the past two years with the Oakland Raiders before later signing a one-year contract with the Seahawks this past March.

Last year, Adams appeared in all 16 games for Oakland and totaled 30 tackles and fumble recovery. According to Pro Football Focus, Adams played just 348 snaps and was well below average in coverage.

During his senior season at Nebraska, Enunwa totaled 51 receptions for 753 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. He posted a very solid forty time of 4.45 at this year’s Scouting Combine and offers decent size at 6-foot-2.
