Jets Sign CFL LB Freddie Bishop To A Two-Year Deal

Adam Schefter reports that the Jets have reached an agreement with CFL LB Freddie Bishop on a two-year contract Friday.

It’s very likely that this is a future/reserve contract that will give Bishop an opportunity for him to compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Bishop, 25, originally signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in 2013. He lasted just over a month in Detroit before he was waived.

During his three seasons with Calagry, Bishop recorded 60 tackles, 14 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
