Jets Sign DB LeQuan Lewis & Waive LB Tim Fugger

The Jets announced Tuesday the signing of DB LeQuan Lewis and that they have placed LB Tim Fugger on waivers.

The Jets had to find some help at cornerback, even if it proves to be just a temporary move. They’ve already moved S Antonio Allen to cornerback during Monday’s practice as Dee Milliner, Dimitri Patterson, and Dexter McDougle are dealing with injuries.

Lewis, 25, signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in 2011. He signed one-year deal with the Patriots, but was released in late August. The Cardinals actually signed him to a two-year contract in April, however, he was cut just a little over a month later.

Lewis last appeared in a game back in 2012 while he was with the Buccaneers.
