“I’m excited and I’m ready to play,” Harrison said about being drafted by the Jets.
Harrison is the first draft pick among the team’s six-player draft class to sign his rookie contract.
According to OverTheCap.com, Harrison will receive a four-year contract worth $2,411,364, which includes a signing bonus of $131,364.
During his time at Texas A&M, Harrison made 37 starts for the Aggies and saw time at both guard and offensive tackle, so he offers some versatility up front for the Jets. He also put together a decent Scouting Combine performance in terms of his athleticism.
