Jets Sign First-Round Pick S Calvin Pryor

The New York Jets announced the signing of first-round pick S Calvin Pryor on Monday.

New York now has all but one of their 12 draft picks under contract with the only unsigned player being third-round pick CB Dexter McDougle.

Pryor ‘s four-year contract is worth an estimated $8,563,248 and includes a signing bonus of $4,547,820, according to OverTheCap.com.

Pryor was the first safety to come off the board in this year’s NFL draft, but he should be a great fit for Rex Ryan’s physical defense.

He was a first-team All-Big East selection last year and totaled 218 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 18 passes defensed, seven interceptions and nine forced fumbles over the course of three years at Louisville.
