Jets Sign LB Jeff Luc To Futures Deal

The New York Jets announced Wednesday that they’ve signed LB Jeff Luc to a future/reserve contract.

The Jets have now signed 12 players to futures deals since their season ended. The full list includes:

  1. DL Kenny Anunike (NFLTR)
  2. WR Darius Jennings
  3. DL Claude Pelon
  4. FB Chris Swain
  5. TE Jason Vander Laan
  6. K Ross Martin
  7. LS Zach Triner
  8. OLB Frank Beltre
  9. WR Deshon Foxx
  10. FB Julian Howsare
  11. WR Myles White
  12. LB Jeff Luc

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

Luc, 24, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati back in May of 2015. He lasted just a few months in Miami before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Saints’ practice squad.

The Bengals eventually signed Luc off of the Saints’ practice squad and brought him back on a future/reserve contract last year. However, he was once again cut loose coming out of the preseason.

Luc has yet to appear in an NFL game.
