The New York Jets announced Friday that they’ve signed veteran LB Spencer Paysinger to a contract.
Paysinger, 28, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in 2011. He spent four years in New York before signing a one-year deal with the Dolphins in 2015.
Miami elected to bring him back on a one-year contract last March.
In 2016, Paysinger appeared in 15 games for the Dolphins and recorded 59 tackles, no sacks, a fumble recovery and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 51 linebacker out of 87 qualifying players.
We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
