Beachum, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Steelers back in 2012. He played four years for the Steelers before signing a one-year, $4.5 million contract that included a four-year, $35 million option with the Jaguars as a free agent last year.

The Jaguars declined their option on Beachum close to a month ago. They would have had to make him a $5 million payment had they picked it up and he would have been owed $7.5 million (2017) and $8.5 million (2018) base salaries fully guaranteed.

In 2016, Beachum appeared in 15 games for the Jaguars and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 63 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
