Update:

The Jets announced the signing of OL James Brewer on Thursday.

Brian Costello reports that the Jets have agreed to a one-year deal with OL James Brewer.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reported earlier in the day that free agent OT Corey Hilliard is visiting with the Jets, so they are clearly looking to bolster their offensive line depth before the draft.

Brewer, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Giants back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $2,477,092 rookie contract with Giants that included $432,092 guaranteed.

Last year, Brewer was limited to appearing in just two games and played a total of 53 snaps in 2014.
