The New York Jets announced Wednesday that they’ve signed former Texans OT Jeff Adams to a contract.
Adams, 27, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Columbia back in 2012. After brief stints with the Bengals and Dolphins, Adams signed on with the Titans at the start of the 2013 season.
Tennessee placed on waivers a year later and was claimed by the Texans. Houston re-signed Adams to a contract extension last March but cut him loose coming out of the preseason. He was on and off of their practice squad during the 2016 season, but didn’t appear in an NFL game.
In 2015, Adams appeared in two games for the Texans.
