The New York Jets announced Thursday that they’ve signed S Shamarko Thomas and placed LB Jevaris Jones on waivers.
Thomas, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,613,152 rookie contract with the Steelers and had been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for several months.
Unfortunately, Thomas was placed on injured reserve in December.
In 2016, Thomas appeared in eight games and recorded seven tackles, no interceptions or pass defenses.
