Jets Sign Seventh-Round Pick LB Trevor Reilly

The New York Jets announced that they have signed LB Trevor Reilly to a four-year contract on Wednesday.

Reilly produced 100 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 16.0 tackles for loss over the course of 12 games for Utah last year. Amazingly enough, he did this while playing through a torn ACL.

The knee injury and his age (26) most likely impacted where he ultimately was selected in last week’s draft.

“That may be a factor,” Jets GM John Idzik said. “The bottom line is what do you think of him as a player and a person. He fit that way for us.”

It seems likely that he’ll be competing for a roster spot in training camp.
