Jets Sign TE Braedon Bowman To Practice Squad, Cut DE Claude Pelon

The New York Jets officially signed TE Braedon Bowman to their practice squad on Monday and waived DE Claude Pelon from the unit.

The Jets’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. TE Braedon Bowman
  2. DL Claude Pelon
  3. LB Freddie Bishop
  4. CB Bryson Keeton
  5. S Doug Middleton
  6. CB Dexter McDougle
  7. S Ronald Martin
  8. RB Dominique Williams
  9. LB Victor Ochi
  10. WR Wendall Williams

Bowman, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of South Alabama back in May. He was unfortunately cut loose by the Jaguars, as they got their roster down to 53 players.

The Jets elected to claim him off of waivers the following day before cutting him loose earlier in the week to free up a roster spot for DE Sheldon Richardson, who has been activated from the reserve/suspended list.

During his college career at South Alabama, Bowman caught 29 passes for 381 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
